As awareness of the environmental and personal financial benefits of compact fluorescent light bulbs grows, they are becoming more widely available through stores like Home Depot, Walmart, Target, and Lowes. 

They’re also starting to appear in grocery and retail pharmacy/drug stores next to traditional incandescent bulbs.  Depending on where you live, your local electric company may aggressively be promoting CFL’s in conjunction with local stores.  You can also find CFL bulbs through online retails like Amazon.
